Shared note
Agnes recorded as born in Lancashire in 1841 census; and at Ulverston, Lancashire in 1851 census. Not clear whether all three of Agnes's illegitimate children had the same father. After Agnes married William Gill, in the 1871 census Rachel and Isabella living with William and Agnes, described as daughters of William Gill, but retaining the Hayton surname, so it is uncertain whether William is the father of the two younger girls, or not. Mary seems to have lived with her grandparents throughout, so is unlikely to be a daughter of William Gill.
